Welcome to CAP Plastics
A broad range of electrical conductors and electrical cables are installed in modern buildings in ISI marked PVC Conduit pipes for a wide variety of uses.
We all recognise the potential flame and smoke hazards created by burning cables and conduits in case of fire. Installing FRLS wires and cables provides only half solution to the problem, as the conduit pipes housing these wires are not FRLS grade.
Generally it is thought that as conduit pipes are made of chlorinated polymers like PVC, which have inherent resistance to flame propagation; any ISI marked conduit pipe is good enough. Yet, in the event of a fire, it has been observed that they propagate fire and relesae large volumes of dense smoke, toxic gas and hydrochloric acid.
